Author: I am a mother of 4 and I can say that taking care of all of them is not an easy task. I do enjoy being a mother, I really do. But there are times when problem after problem piles up and it stresses me out a bit. What I usually do is that I try to put myself in their shoes. Let us say for my 16 year old son, I know that he is now at an age that is already so excited to explore what he can as a teenage boy.
So I know that he does not want me at his back every hour of the day. That is why I give him the time for when he wants to go out with his friends and have fun but I set a limit to it. I have restrictions and if he goes against them then he has to suffer the consequences. For my Tweens however I get a little confused at times. I still try to put myself in their shoes but I cannot quite get them from time to time. However when I came across this magazine called Tween Mom and I followed things that were said in the magazine I instantly notice how huge of a help it gave me. My daughter even said that I greatly changed and that she liked me way better at the present. I am confident with my relationship with them now which makes us a really happy family.
